Magical spots to visit while staying at our charming hotel in Palma

Majorca has an exceptional variety of stunning beaches and coves that are ideal for spending a perfect day by the sea. As you know, the new spirit of the Hotel Costa Azul revolves around the sea and literature, so it’s safe to say we are right up to date on the most exclusive, out-of-the-way spots on the island. Take note!

Sa Calobra

This is a spectacular rocky cove in the municipality of Escorca, located among cliffs at the base of the Puig Major Mountain. Its uniqueness makes this is a very popular location, so we recommend going early. The beach is accessed via an impressive winding road that offers some of the best sea views on the island. This is undoubtedly one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, and a must-see. (More info)

Es Caragol

Located 7 km from Santanyí and part of a protected natural area, this is one of the best preserved dune areas of the island. To get there you must park your car at Ses Salines lighthouse and walk for 1.5 km along the coast. This is one of the most paradisiacal and least populated beaches of Mallorca. (More info)

Cala s'Almunia

This natural rock pier has become a favourite suntrap for the locals of Santanyí. The location is picture-postcard beautiful but offers very limited space, so it is highly recommended that you get there early in the morning if you want to find a spot. (More info)

Port des Canonge

This rocky cove is located in the town of Banyalbufar and is a perfect example of the pebbly beaches and coves that have been continually eroded by the Tramuntana wind and are typical of the north of the island. The turnoff to Port des Canonge is located at km. 80 of the Ma-10 road. (More info)

Cala Varques

A sandy beach in the town of Manacor that is reached via a 15-minute walk through a typical Mediterranean pine forest. Swimmers often share space with some of the cows living in the area. (More info)
