Our gastronomic areas stand out not only for the views of the bay of Palma, but also by the mouthwatering food

At the Costa Azul Hotel we have spectacular views over the city's bay and a prime seafront location, just a few steps from Mallorca Cathedral. These are natural attractions which our guests can enjoy from two of our star facilities which, like the guest rooms, have also been given a sea theme: the buffet restaurant and the coffee bar.

Xaloc Restaurant is different from the other Restaurants in Paseo Maritimo in Mallorca not only because of the views but also because of our mouthwatering food. Our chef Jaume Ferrà's simple and very personal gastronomic philosophy has given our restaurant a name for serving freshly-cooked, wholesome, locally-produced food with the characteristic Mediterranean flavours and traditional presentation.

The sea, which we almost have our feet in, and which is directly associated with the name of our city hotel, Costa Azul/Côte d'Azur/Blue Coast, and with our roots, was also the inspiration for our restaurant's name, Xaloc, which comes from our island's prevailing south-easterly wind.

For guests where to eat in Palma for an open-plan area in the Hotel, with sea views, in this exclusive part of the city, we have the Embat Coffee Bar & Lounge, open both during the daytime and in the evening. Situated at street level, it's a suitable place for sitting and reading the morning papers cocooned in a relaxed atmosphere; for nibbling tapas accompanied by a cool, refreshing beer; or for sampling our menu of cocktails, drinks, coffee and herb teas.

From 7:30 a.m. our guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast with traditional Mallorcan pastries, sliced fresh fruit, breakfast cereals and yoghourt. They can also watch show cooking carried out with great attention to detail, where our cooks prepare, à la minute, succulent omelettes, fried eggs, and bacon. We also have a place where we take requests in advance from guests with special dietary needs, so that we can make their meals to order.

In the evening, besides themed buffets with Mallorcan and Spanish cuisine, at our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca we lay on a full buffet with a different menu each day, full of creativity and Mediterranean flavour.

Knowing that olive oil is the most indispensable ingredient of the Mediterranean diet, our tables are permanently stocked with Es Rafalet, an "Oli de Mallorca" designation of origin produced by the family who are the proprietors of our hotel, for our guests' enjoyment.
