It doesn’t matter if you have already been in Palma during another time of year, if you come back in Christmas you will feel as if you are visiting it for the first time. The city transforms, fills with light and tradition, and offers a wide selection of activities. These are only some of the options:
You will find them in Plaza España, Via Roma, the Rambla and Plaza Mayor and you will be able to buy anything from sweets to gorgeous handicrafts. Until January 6, every day from 10h to 21h.
Nativity scene route
Mallorcan nativity scene: until January 6 in La Misericòrdia Cultural Center. From 10h to 14h and from 16h to 20h.
Gothic nativity scene: located in the Iglesia de la Sang, it is the oldest Neapolitan nativity scene in Spain.
Hotel Costa Azul nativity scene: just like every year, the staff prepares a beautiful nativity scene in the entrance to the hotel. Made with all our love and caring!
Christmas brings many unmissable musical dates, such as the Concert of the Choirs of the University of the Balearic Islands in the Auditorium of Palma (December 13), the Christmas Concert of the Main Theatre (December 22 and 23) or the Great New Year Concert, also in the Auditorium (January 2).
San Silvestre Race
On December 27 come run at the III San Silvestre Juaneda Race. It starts in Castillo de Bellver at 11h.
A plan for the kids
The “little Christmas train” stops at the Cort square and picks up the kids to take them through the lit up streets of the center. They will also have a great time on the ice rink in the park of Les Estacions.
Celebration of the Conquest of Mallorca: December 29, 30 and 31.
New year: Bell strokes and open-air dance at the Plaza de Cort at 00h.
Parade of the Three Kings: January 5 at 18h.
